Bossier Arts Council and Community Trust Bank presents Barbara Rushing

SHREVEPORT, LA – March 4, 2013


The Bossier Arts Council is thrilled to announce a partnership with Community Trust Bank to feature local artists at two of their banking centers in the Shreveport Bossier area. The premier artist for this partnership is Barbara Rushing whose work will be on display from February through April 2013. The banking centers featuring artwork are the Line Avenue Branch, 3400 Line Ave., Shreveport, LA 71104, and the Bossier City Banking Center, 2790 Airline Dr., Bossier City, LA 71111. There will be an opening reception at the Line Avenue Banking Center on March 21st from 5 - 7pm.

When asked about her creative process Barbara answered "I love the learning process in art and love color. I recently started taking saxophone lessons. My three children, Dr. Donna Rushing, Mrs. Nancy Hayes of Austin, and Dr. Paul Rushing and nine grandchildren are all supportive of my art shows."
