Community Trust Bank and TCU Athletics Collaborate for Third Year to Recognize Local Heroes

One Community Hero Will Be Honored at Each TCU Athletics Home Football Game

Fort Worth, TX — Ordinary people do extraordinary things every day and many believe those stories should be told. That’s why Community Trust Bank is once again teaming up with Texas Christian University Athletics (TCU) to recognize a local hero at each home game during the 2012-2013 football season.

As the program enters its third year, Community Trust Bank and TCU Athletics are giving the community an opportunity to nominate community heroes for the Community Hero of the Week award. To nominate a hero for the award, go to ctbheroes.com. People are invited to share the story of their nominee, describing why their hero deserves a night in the spotlight. Each winner will be welcomed on-field by officials from TCU Athletics and Community Trust Bank where they’ll be recognized for their actions and receive a commemorative football. In addition, Community Trust Bank will donate $500 to a charity of the winner’s choice.

“It’s important to take the time to recognize people in the community who go about their daily lives acting is such an extraordinary way,” said Grant James, Regional President, Tarrant County, Community Trust Bank. “These individuals set an example for the rest of the community, and that’s something you just can’t help but honor. We are excited to have the opportunity to partner with TCU Athletics to recognize these heroes during this season’s thrilling home football games.”

Community Heroes will be announced during the following games at the Amon G. Carter Stadium:

09/08 – TCU vs. Grambling State
09/22 – TCU vs. Virginia
10/06 – TCU vs. Iowa State
10/20 – TCU vs. Texas Tech
11/10 – TCU vs. Kansas State
12/01 – TCU vs. Oklahoma
