Event benefits food banks locally, nationwide; features NFL legends, celebrity chefs

JANUARY 21, 2011, FORT WORTH, TEXAS – Community Trust Bank, Tarrant County division, announced today that it will serve as the Presenting Sponsor of the National Football League’s (NFL) Taste of the NFL Founders Breakfast, to be held on Friday, February 4 at the Fort Worth Club. The first-ever Founders Breakfast will celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Taste of the NFL and raise money to support the vital efforts of food banks in North Texas and across the country.

“Community Trust Bank is proud to partner with the NFL in the fight against hunger,” said Grant James, President of Community Trust’s Tarrant County operation. “Our company is committed to making a positive difference in our community, and with a significant percentage of the funds raised going to food banks right here in North Texas, we will be making a meaningful impact in helping the less fortunate here at home.”

The Taste of the NFL is in its 20th year of raising money to fight hunger. The Taste of the NFL supports food banks in NFL cities across the nation, benefitting the 37 million Americans who depend on these services. The Founder’s Breakfast will feature many of the former players and celebrity chefs who were instrumental in establishing the Taste of the NFL in 1992.

The Taste of the NFL Founders Breakfast will feature a mixture of NFL greats and celebrity chefs from around the country serving as table hosts. Former NFL players Bobby Mitchell (Washington Redskins), Tommy Nobis (Atlanta Falcons), Jan Stenerud (Kansas City Chiefs), Bob Lurtsema (Minnesota Vikings), Jerry Sisemore (Philadelphia Eagles) and Dick Anderson (Miami Dolphins) will be in attendance.
